When Faced With A Trial

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Naheed Baluch

هُنَالِكَ ابْتُلِيَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَزُلْزِلُوا زِلْزَالًا شَدِيدًا

“There the believers were tested and shaken with a severe shaking.”

About Quran Reflections

Al-Huda's branch at Khayaban-e-Sehar is one of the few Quran courses being regularly conducted in Karachi, Pakistan, where the mode of instruction and examination is English. The students and teachers have decided to upload their reflections on the Quran and class notes on this blog, in order to be available to a global audience for the latter's benefit and inspiration.

Alhamdulillah- I like the presentation of this concept through this mind map!

Yes- we women also should be extra careful not to waste away our efforts through complaining about every challenge that comes our way. The way forward should be through focusing on the positive, relying upon Allah and making sincere dua in the process.

This diagram is a great visual representation of the different aspects of a trial! Simple and easy to grasp.
    Good work, Naheed. 🙂

  3. Great Work!
Knowing that tests are from Allah s.w.t gives one contentment. In times of difficulty, we should remember
    الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ وَتَطْمَئِنُّ قُلُوبُهُم بِذِكْرِ اللّهِ أَلاَ بِذِكْرِ اللّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ
Those who have believed and whose hearts are assured by the remembrance of Allah . Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured.
    (Ar-Ra’d:28)

It’s so beautiful how ‘by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured’ :).
SubhaanAllah! Islam makes the believer learn to ‘move on’. If something’s gone wrong, learn a lesson and go on with what you’re working on. The ‘what if’ concept makes a persons efficiency so poor if they keep concentrating on what could’ve happened, etc. etc.
On the other hand, like Mariam baji said, ‘by the remembrance of Allah, hearts are assured’. Everything becomes beautiful when you’re doing it for the sake of Allah and they can be seen positively when we realize they’re tests from Allah, the Most Merciful!
    Alhamdulillah!
